Ain’t no half-steppin, you gotta do it good.

Bottoms Up

Joyful Wines

We believe wines should be vibrant, joyful, delicious, and full of energy. Wine is too often seen as exclusive, a luxury product and status symbol, which detracts from the core value of wine—to provide connection, enhance celebration, and complement a table. Sure, our wines are created with intention and age well, but they’re also here for you when you want them. Get rid of the pretense and just enjoy.

Hands Off

Old-School Winemaking

When the winemaker doesn’t feel the need to be the center of attention, wines can truly speak for themselves. To this end, we do everything we can to work with great grapes that are farmed to respect the land. At the winery, we let the beautiful fruit be the spotlight. We allow native yeasts to ferment our wines, we use minimal to no new oak, and we only use minimal effective rates of sulfur. Our Production methods are simple and honest—never using winemaking additives or adjuncts.

California Classics

New Traditions

The core of our wines focus on Old Vine plantings and classic varietals of the region. California wine has deep roots, which is most evident in our Zinfandels and Field Blends. We also celebrate the rich heritage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay which have also become synonymous with the region. Our openness keeps us searching for new California classics—varietals like Fiano or Gamay that naturally grow well here —which we offer  in small lots on rotation.

Wine is meant to add joy to whatever moment it compliments, whether that be a dinner table, a late night dance party, a conversation by a fire, or an afternoon by a pool. If we do our job well, the wines speak of their varietal, vineyard, and vintage characteristics with transparency while also just making you smile and want another pour.
